Meet Kushi
I'm Kushi, a freelance designer and brand identity specialist based in Mangaluru (Dakshina Kannada, Karnataka). I build premium visual design systems and bespoke logo designs that make startups, D2C brands, and corporate consulting firms accidentally stick with me for years. Working with clients from Bengaluru to worldwide, I create identities that look premium, feel intentional, and make people say "who designed this?" (And I promise I won't expose the "temporary logo" you used for 2 years.)
It started in 8th grade, in 2015, with a friend who kept Photoshopping himself in front of a Lamborghini. I got curious about how he did it. Once I could do the trick myself, the part that stuck wasn't the car. It was that I could place myself in worlds I couldn't actually step into and could only imagine: the surface of Jupiter; a hilltop castle ringed with sakura, Mount Fuji rising behind it and a river running below; the driver's seat of a car I'd never own. If I couldn't get there, I could build it convincingly enough to believe it. That curiosity turned into lettering (my initials, friends' initials, endless K·S and A·K lockups), and lettering turned into logo design once I noticed the letters were the part I cared about. First client work came in 2020, alongside college and university, until I finished my master's (top of the class) in 2024 and went full time. Same instinct the whole way through: build the world precise enough that someone believes they could step into it.
Six years in, the brief hasn't changed: design that earns its keep. Every identity I ship is built to hold up across a pitch deck, a product box, and a billboard without someone "fixing" it in PowerPoint later. I work close with founders and marketing teams, keep revisions fast, and hand off systems your whole team can actually use - not a logo file and a shrug.
Every brand identity system I build runs on the same rules: one accent color, rationed like it costs something, geometry that's engineered rather than eyeballed, and a single typeface doing all the work. If red were free, everyone would use more of it. I don't - that restraint is what makes a logo read as designed instead of decorated.
